Rumpun +3+2
about.
Art as Collective Action
RUMPUN +3+2 emerged in response to growing concerns surrounding systemic injustice and police brutality in Indonesia. Recognizing that not everyone can participate directly in protest, the exhibition invited artists to contribute through creative expression. Within just a few days, the open call received over 1,900 submissions from more than 1,600 artists worldwide, transforming the exhibition into a collective act of solidarity and resistance.

A Crossroads of Connection
The title +3+2 references the Japanese character 十, symbolizing sufficiency, crossroads, and intersections. True to its name, RUMPUN +3+2 became a meeting point where Indonesian artists at home and abroad, alongside international supporters, came together through art. More than an exhibition, it became a reminder that creativity can connect communities across borders and inspire collective change.
